So which lucky CMs out there are working the stage set tonight? I’m working ours after a normal 8 hour shift. Fun stuff!
Things are starting to shift from the chaotic Christmas mode at the store back to the normal pace of things. It’s nice, if a bit strange after all the crowds, to have the events back and to be able to really interact with the guests again instead of having to keep the magical moments brief due to the amount of guests that needed magic in the store.
I feel like it’s home again, now that I’m helping Princesses find the perfect fit on their shoes or chatting with a Spiderman that only comes up to my knees. Now if only we’d get our shipment so our store didn’t look so empty and bare.
DISNEY STORE CAST MEMBERS!
I’m assuming that if I’m interested in a job there they won’t be ok my light blonde hair? Since it’s not natural and it won’t look right when my roots grow in?
A CM at Disney World told me something like that once but I am just looking to confirm that the stores are the same way.
It really depends on your store manager’s definition of “natural” - I was told my dyed reddish-brown combo was okay since it’s not like Ariel-red. I have different colored roots growing in and it doesn’t matter. Even the District Manager has complemented my two-toned, dyed hair. But all the colors of my hair are “natural” shades -reds, browns, blondes, etc.
To whomever has been prank calling our store the last two nights. Please be funnier next time! Like we were all fussing over who would get to answer and were very disappointed by your prank attempts. If you need good pranking tips, check with Bart Simpson.
Also, your British accent is horrible.
- Love, Cast Members of our local Disney Store.
I love it at work when the singing dolls just start going off by themselves. Like, I’m just folding T-shirts after we close and all of the sudden,
“AND I’LL RE-READ THE BOOKS, IF I HAVE TIME TO SPARE”
We have a haunted Cinderella castle in the backroom that spontaneously starts its twinkling lights. And one day we had a stack of Singing Cinderella next to it…and they all started singing without anyone touching it. We all were certain one of the Haunted Mansion’s happy haunts had come to visit.
So I’m totes loving the new Media Wall DVD. Christmas music that doesn’t annoy me and best of all lots of fun interactive games.
Also, I might have been loudly singing along to When Can I See You Again? many times at work yesterday whenever the music video played.
And if it wasn’t awesome enough already, the new “trivia” games have nods to both Pocahontas AND HERCULES.
Omg when I heard the Hercules one I was like THAT’S MY BOY ;_; and got very weirdly sentimental. (Hey, he’s not on my namebadge for nothing!)
